The H'mong  people are part of the San Miao (Tam Miêu) of South China. Around the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, they emigrated to Vietnam and built hamlets in the highland regions of Hà  Giang and Lào Cai provences.
The H'mong people believe they have a common ancestor so they really value unity in their community. They have a very extraordinary culture and usually wear their self-woven clothes made by linen, decorated with unique technique to express their strong ethnic characteristics.
